Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Qualisend (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our email verification service at qualisend.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and payment information. If you sign up or sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account; we never receive your Google password.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you use our Services, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages.

Verification Data: We process the email addresses and lists you submit for verification. Results are stored in your workspace so you can review and export them, and you can delete jobs and their results at any time.

Cookies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity and hold certain information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our Services; process your transactions and send transactional communications; respond to your requests and provide customer support; send you marketing communications (with your consent); monitor and analyze usage patterns; detect and prevent technical issues and security threats; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account and 30 days after account closure. Usage logs are retained for 90 days for security and analytics purposes. Verification jobs and their results are retained in your workspace until you delete them or your account is closed. Billing records are retained for 7 years to comply with tax regulations.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Service Providers: We share data with third-party service providers who assist in operating our Services (payment processors, hosting providers, analytics services). Our email-marketing provider is Klaviyo, which receives your email address and basic account, usage and purchase information so we can send you product and marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email), and which runs the sign-up forms on our website.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not sell, rent, or share the email lists you submit for verification.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Under GDPR (for EU users) and CCPA (for California users), you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”); object to or restrict processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@qualisend.com.

7. International Data Transfers

Qualisend is based in the EU. If you are accessing our Services from outside the EU, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the EU. We implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers in compliance with GDPR.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

10. AI assistants and the MCP connector

Qualisend offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that lets you verify addresses and clean lists from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. When you connect Qualisend to an AI client, the only data we receive is the email addresses and lists you or your agent submit for verification (the same data our REST API receives), and we return only the public verification verdict. We do not receive, access, or store your conversations, chat history, assistant memory, uploaded files, or any other context from your AI client beyond the addresses submitted for verification, and we never query the AI client for that data.

We do not use the addresses or lists you submit (through the connector, the API, or a CSV upload) to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or machine-learning model, and we never sell, rent, or share them. We use them solely to perform the verification you requested and to show you the results in your workspace, where you can delete them at any time.

Connections are authenticated with OAuth 2.1 or a Qualisend API key and are scoped to the single workspace you approve. OAuth access tokens are short-lived and stored only as hashes, and you can revoke access at any time - by disconnecting the connector in your AI client, or by revoking the API key in your Qualisend dashboard.

11. The Chrome extension

Qualisend offers a browser extension (“Email Verifier by Qualisend”) that lets you verify email addresses from any page in your browser. The extension only acts when you do: it reads an address you type or right-click, or — when you click “Scan this page” — the text of that one page, solely to find the email addresses on it. It contains no content scripts, collects nothing in the background, and never reads a page you did not explicitly ask it to.

The only data the extension transmits is the email addresses you choose to verify, which are sent to app.qualisend.com and checked against your own Qualisend account — exactly as if you had typed them into the dashboard. Verification results are stored in your workspace under the same retention rules as every other verification (see Data Retention above), and the addresses are never used for anything beyond the verification you requested.

When you scan an open Google Sheet, the extension reads that sheet’s data inside your browser using your own Google session, solely to find the email addresses in it. The sheet itself is never sent to us — only the addresses you then select for verification. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The extension signs in to your existing Qualisend account with OAuth; its access tokens are stored only in your browser’s extension storage, scoped to the single workspace you approved. You can revoke its access at any time under Settings → Connected apps in your dashboard, or by removing the extension.

If you use “Report a problem” in the extension, your message is sent to our support inbox together with the extension version, your browser version, and the hostname of the page you were on (never the full address), so we can reproduce the issue.
